Date of purchase: Late 2021 Published: J Rivington Date of publication: 1771 Description: inscription from James Lock, February 8th 1778 and from Robert Lock. Terrible condition, in shitty modern binding but interesting to leaf through. A good copy seems to go for around a hundred pounds. missing a few pages at the start and end. could be a challenging rebinding project

Why I bought: because it contained a variety of knowledge, has many illustrations.

I like that it describes the solar system from the point of view of someone in the 17th century (no pluto, etc.)
